This style of hand thrown Italian money pot was traditionally used in Italy for over 2000 years. They stand between 16 cm and 19 cm in height. Tradition has it that once the first coin is dropped into the pot, it must be fed until it is full, upon which time it must be smashed whilst making a wish at the same time.
